Erdemir Group releases results of three quarters

During the first nine months of the year, Turkey’s Erdemir Group recorded $4.12 billion consolidated sales, with an increase of 41% y-o-y. Over this period, Isdemir manufactured 2.38 mt of steel products (down 4% y-o-y), including 1.9 mt of HRC and 481,000 t of long steel. Erdemir produced 1.56 mt of HRC and 1.23 mt of CRC with a total increase of 13% y-o-y.
Erdemir exported some 14% of the total output, while Isdemir shipped abroad 25% of the produced material.
Market players say Erdemir Group is considering suspending operation of some of its rolling lines in Iskenderun given unstable conditions in the market for steel products.
