CVS Rolling Mill (Turkey) to launch FF Steel rebar project in Iraq

CVS Rolling Mill (Turkey) will begin equipment installation for the new project in Iraq by the end of the year. The new plant FF Steel will be equipped with a 500,000 tpy EAF shop (an EAF, a ladle furnace, a billet conticaster) and a rebar mill capable of producing 420,000 tpy of 8-40 mm rebar.
Equipment construction, which is now underway, will take 2-3 months more, a company source told Metal Expert. Mounting of first units will start in December, hot trials in Q3 2013.
