Hadeed SABIC long products exceed 3.5 mt in 2009

Arab Steel – Hadeed SABIC Sales of long products have seen the highest increase rates by 24.81% in 2009 reaching 3.52 Mt, the highest figure of this type of products that the company achieved during the past years, compared to 2008 production which was 2.82 Mt. This volume of sales overruns the output volume of longs for 2009 which stands at 3.235 Mt according to information «Arab Steel» acquired from company sources.
Long products figures are divided into 2.911 Mt of rebar and 609,000t of wires, compared to 2.277 Mt of rebar and 543,000t of wires for 2008, increasing by 27.84% and 12.1% respectively.
All longs production went into the local market as local demand is on the rise.
